The Dene, Rottingdean, Brighton

Cost of Living - useful information for residents

The Dene is situated in the heart of the quiet village of Rottingdean, opposite the Kipling Gardens by the beautiful Green and duck pond. The Dene benefits from being within easy walking distance from local shops and the seafront as well as only being a few miles from the centre of Brighton – with a bus stop situated opposite the scheme.

The Dene offers a unique sheltered housing experience as we provide:

  • A healthy meals service which provides an enjoyable experience in pleasant settings for our residents

  • Helpful, friendly and dedicated scheme staff  - including a Scheme Manager - who will provide support tailored around individual needs

  • Regular social activities and on-site entertainment

  • Large communal lounge and garden which our residents use to relax, chat and undertake activities.

All studios at The Dene enjoy the advantage of an en-suite shower room, telephone and TV aerial point as well as gas central heating. We also provide an emergency call system and pendant for each studio which is monitored 24/7. Larger suites are available for couples.

Charges at The Dene are very reasonable and generally range from around £1000 per calendar month which includes rent, utilities and meals.

You are more than welcome to join us during a coffee morning if you would like to get a feeling for the Scheme or alternatively you can contact our Scheme Manager, Kim Bennett, for an individual tour: 01273 308567.  (Head Office 020 7440 9440)
